We headed off early from Berkshire and got to Castle Howard by 10am which I was pretty impressed with. This is our 3rd year here and it's one of our favourite fairs to do, everyone is so helpful and it's a joy to be in such magnificent surroundings.

We take full advantage of being here and stay and extra day so we can get to see as much of Norh Yorkshire as we can.

We have been going to the same workshop for some years now, it is nice to see how the product is made and they appreciate that we have an interest in the skilled workmanship that goes into making each piece when today so much is just done by email.

We work using the Asian buffalo horn which is very common and widely used and is in no way endangered. You seem them wondering in the rice fields and sometimes even being ridden they are used for their milk, hides, horns and ploughing.
